Trying to Catch Up!

My goal was to try to keep up and let you in on what is Happen' up here in Nevada...with our family. Yes! I admit I am not very good at posting new info in a very timely manner. But, I am trying!
I do admire all my family and friends that keep up with it! I love to look and check out their blogs and read all about what is happening.
So, I guess I better change my goal to: It will be posted sooner or later!

Hot Chocolate Disaster

Sunday Morning in March: We were having breakfast and everyone wanted hot chocolate. Ryan was sitting next to Jared and HE grabbed Ryan's hot chocolate mug and spilled it. Spilling down the front down the left leg. I ran over, got him out of His seat pulled his PJ's off. Stomach had a small spot, thank heaven for his undershirt...His leg not so lucky. The skin was peeling off! We made a run for the ER.

2nd Degree Burns with a few smaller 3rd degree spots. Physical Therapy everyday: cleaning the burn and pulling off the dead skin. Then a trip to the Univ of Utah Burn Center, lots of supplies and pain medicine we were set...

He is doing great. Just makes you beware of quick hands!

The BOOT!

Don't try this at home, oh wait I did do this at home. Walking down the stairs to the basement and slipped and down I went. A nice clean break would have been the better way to go...But, no I had to damage the nerves in my foot, the Talus bone and stretched the Ligament's (Water around the Ligaments). It really Hurt! RX: Stay off my foot and rest...I have not been very good at that, it has taken a long time to heal. Too many things to do!(Mom stuff, if you know what I mean)Crutches and now a Rolling Walker! I know you can LAUGH! It was quite funny rolling into church!!!

January 2010

Started the New Year off with a quick trip to Cedar City, Utah to visit Grandma and Grandpa (aka Mom and Dad Evans). We were able to relax and visit with each other. Meet our new Brother-in-law/ Uncle Chris (Megan's Husband) and Morgan and Mason (Chris's children). Jeremy was there! Small Party but so much fun! Everyone was suppose to come but wasn't able to make it. I sure miss them all.
Tried to convince the children that they didn't need to go out to Dinner- to have Pizza! That didn't work. Every time we go to Cedar City they like to go to God Father's Pizza it is a all you can eat pizza place. (Nothing like John's Incredible Pizza) Next time, we all have decided that we will not be returning...
It took us 6 hours from Spring Creek, NV to Cedar City, UT. We traveled down through Ely, NV. Very small town. Highlight: the kids got McDonald's Happy Meals!!! I think that the only time we really get to go out to eat is when we are on vacation.HUM!
Mike and I got to go to the St. George Temple. Much needed trip!
This was the First year we missed watching the Rose Parade..We really enjoy watching it.
